AMHS Homecoming

Wade, Carter Named Homecoming Royalty at Altoona-Midway.

BUFFALO – Kylee Wade and Caden Carter have been named as the 2020 Homecoming Royalty for Altoona-Midway High School. Miss Wade was crowned as queen and Carter selected as king during coronation ceremonies between the girls’ and boys’ varsity basketball games held here at Milo Peterson Gymnasium. Wade and Carter reigned over festivities for the remainder of the evening. Due to a forecast of impending bad weather Friday evening, the AMHS Homecoming Dance originally slated to follow the basketball games was postponed until a later date. Serving as attendants to Queen Wade were Lilly Tarlton, Abby Reaves, and Sierra Eaton. Also on the King’s Court were Kendall Pierce, Dayton Marsh, and Caleb Sims. In an unusual coincidence in scheduling, the homecoming celebration was held in conjunction with the first home basketball games of the season for Altoona-Midway High School. The Jets were victorious over Chetopa in the boys’ varsity contest 63-47, while the Lady Green Hornets started the evening with a 54-8 victory.
