YATES CENTER - The Altoona-Midway High School volleyball team dropped both matches in a Three Rivers League triangular held here Tuesday.
The Lady Jets fell to Southern Coffey County 25-13, 25-5, and also lost to Yates Center 25-10, 25-13.
Yates Center also defeated the Titans to complete a sweep of the triangular.
“Obviously we would like to pick up some wins, but we are improving each game little by little,” said AMHS head coach Sharee Bertrand. “We did really well serving tonight.”
Leading the way in that improved serving category was Destiny Raymond, who ended the night with six aces. Keyleigh Clines also came up with a pair of service aces as well.
Other bright spots included Raymond and Faithe Decker with three digs apiece, while Sophie Shaffer, Khiana Hicks, Rose Peacock and Clines each recorded two digs.
“I see good things in store for us in the next couple of years,” Bertrand added.
Altoona-Midway will host a pair of triangular matches this week. On Tuesday, the Lady Jets will host Jayhawk-Linn and Pleasanton in another TRL event. Thursday, Oct. 1, Liberty Homeschool Alliance and Tyro Christian School will invade Milo Peterson Gymnasium for a non-league triangular.
First serve on both Tuesday and Thursday is slated for 5 p.m.
