BUFFALO - The Altoona-Midway High School volleyball team hosted a Three Rivers League triangular Tuesday at Milo Peterson Gymnasium.

And while the Lady Jets are continuing to show improvement as the season progresses, they unfortunately are still seeking that elusive first victory.

Altoona-Midway came up short against a pair of TRL opponents, Pleasanton and Jayhawk-Linn. The PHS Blu-Jays were victorious 25-11, 25-11 and the JLHS Jayhawks posted a 25-12, 25-5 triumph.

“We didn't win last night, but we did see improvement from the team,” said AMHS head coach Sharee Bertrand. “We had Allie Lockhart with two kills and Keyliegh Clines, Khiana Hicks, and Destiny Raymond with multiple service aces among the three girls.”

On Thursday, AMHS stepped out of league play to host Tyro Christian School and Liberty Homeschool Academy. Results of those matches can be found in a separate story.

Altoona-Midway has back-to-back triangulars scheduled early next week.

Next action for the Lady Jets will be Monday, Oct. 5, when the squad travels to Eureka for a non-conference triangular against Fredonia and the host Tornadoes.

Tuesday, Oct. 6, AMHS is scheduled to face Uniontown and Crest in a TRL triangular meet on the Lancers’ home floor.

First serve will take place at 5 p.m. at both locations.
