Youth Art Exhibit

The 24th annual Youth Art Exhibit for elementary and middle school students is presently on display at the Chanute Art Gallery, 17 North Lincoln. Work from K-8 students is on display from March 6-29 during the exhibit.

         This year, a total of 52 students in grades K-8 from Altoona-Midway School District 387 had art featured during the exhibit.

         “The students worked very hard on their art this year,” said Steve Dixon, art instructor for USD 387. “They did an excellent job.”

         Altoona-Midway students participating in this year’s Youth Art Exhibit included:

         8th grade: Karina Sanchez, Amanda Maple, Alyssa Relph, Summer Tarlton, Jackson Ashmore, Bailey Graham, and Caden Berger.

         7th grade: Makayla Wood, Mason Stoldt, Emma Martin, and Brandon Johnson.

         6th grade: Ava Hufford, Cate Nembhard, Karissa Cook, Luis Sanchez, Summer Raymond, Lane Poverlein, Heather Lane, Bella Tarlton, Blaine Collins, Kaylene Dorsey, Joseph Knox, Gracie Stoldt, Jacob Meigs..

         5th grade: Olivia Goodwin, Autumn Raymond, Emmalynn Pupaneck, Sophia Dannels, and Alicyn Hogue.

         4th grade: Presely Tarlton, Eryn Tiger, Kyler Nalley, Abigail Relph, and Lexyn Bracker.

         3rd grade: Jaydin Pierce, Ada Hufford, Payton Drake, Brooklynn Collins, and Jasa Panaskie.

         2nd grade: Zariah Siefkes, Sandra Morales, and Chance Carter.

         1st grade: Maddox Nalley, Bella Douglas, Destiny Raymond, and Lareya Siefkes.

         Kindergarten: Addilyn Kuhn, Kenzie Nalley, LaRee Parsons, Payton Baird, Mikayla Parsons, and Kayliegh Reeves.
