Attention Driver Education Parents/Guardians- Driver's ed begins next Tuesday, 5/27/25. We will have bus pick points: Buffalo United Methodist Church at 7:10 AM, MS/HS at 7:20 AM, the shelter house in the Altoona city park at 7:35 AM, and then Fredonia. The drop-off point will be the same just in reverse order. Students will have bookwork for the first 9 meetings then begin driving. Parents/Guardians will be responsible for getting their child to the school for actual driving times. The instructors will schedule those dates with the students.
Reminder: The 8th grade promotion ceremony is tomorrow night, 5/21/25, in the Milo E. Peterson Gymnasium beginning at 7:00 PM. 8th graders need to arrive by 5:00 PM for pictures and food before the ceremony or, they can stay after school if needed.

Reminder: Free Sports Physicals are tomorrow morning, 5/8/25, beginning at 8:00 AM. Students must have their forms at school and have them signed by a parent or guardian to receive the free physical.
Reminder that AMHS Juniors will be taking the ACT tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM at High Prarie Church. Students need to take their CHARGED Chromebook to the church with them.
The AMHS softball & baseball home games scheduled for today have been postponed. Both teams will practice at the regular times.

Due to the impending weather, the HS girl's basketball game at Marmaton Valley tomorrow, 2/18/25, has been canceled. It is unknown if the game will be made up.

Due to the snow and poor road visibility, USD #387 will be closed today, Wednesday, 02/12/25.
At the MS league meeting today, it was decided that another game would be added to the bracket for the league tournament. Therefore, AMMS will play 2 games for sure tomorrow. The times should be 5:00 and approximately 7:30
Update on Middle School Basketball Tournament:
AMMS will play Bartlett in Chetopa on Thursday, Feb. 6, beginning at 5:00 PM. If the Jets win, they will play again at 7:30 PM. If the Jets lose, they will not play again and the season will end.
Parents/Sr, Night has been moved to Thursday, February 13, 2025. Homecoming will be the next night, Friday 'February 14, 2025. On both nights, play will begin at 6:00 PM
