Fall Jet Set 2022

On a 6-0 vote on Monday night the Altoona Midway Board of Education voted to REQUIRE face masks be worn by all students and staff beginning on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 for the next 30 days, or until rescinded by administration. This decision would be based upon on site testing and for a reduction in off- site quarantines.
In addition, the Board approved the implementation of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment testing protocol as soon as testing materials arrive. Students and staff who have been in close contact with a COVID positive individual will have the option of being tested at school at no cost--or to be quarantined as per local county health guidelines. Parents will need to sign a consent form to allow for the non-invasive testing at school. The district is in the process of training staff to administer this rapid test. Results of the test will be available within 30 minutes of administration of the test.
If you have questions concerning the testing program, please feel free to contact the district office.
