Today we pay homage to the man who was the inspiration of our mascot, "The Jets". Milburn G. Apt from Buffalo Kansas, was a captain in the US Air Force. He was killed after separating from the Bell X-2 in his escape capsule during the record-setting flight that exceeded Mach 3
