Altoona-Midway is looking for Substitute Teachers for the 2019-2020 school year! If you are wanting more information or are wanting to apply, please stop by the District Office or call them at: 620-537-7721!
The AMHS Lady Jet volleyball team will be at home tomorrow evening beginning at 5:00. The lady jets will be hosting Chetopa and Tyro Christian. Come out and support the lady Jets.
Middle School volleyball will be playing tomorrow against Thayer. There will be a C game, followed by B game then the A game. IMPORTANT: These games will be played in Altoona at the elementary school. Come cheer on the Jets to victory!
Ms. Day and Mrs. Scott took both high school and middle school cheer squads to Spirit Spreader in Chanute. The girls worked hard and came back with new cheers and some very impressive stunts. The girls can't wait to show them off!
Flu shots will be given on October 1, 2019. If you have not signed your student up for the flu shot, the school nurse will be sending paperwork home. This paperwork needs to be returned to the school by 09/26/2019. If you have questions please call 620-537-7711. Thanks!
Due to a scheduling error, the September 10th and 11th picture days are actually October 10th for the elementary school and 11th will be the MS/HS.
Reminder: After School 21st Century Grant Activities begin today. Activities will be on Monday’s and Wednesday’s at the HS/MS and Tuesday’s and Thursday’s at AMES.
Reminder The Blue/Gold scrimmages are tonight.The MS VB team will begin play at 5:00. That will be followed by HS VB. Due to the wet FB field, the MS football team will run a few plays in the gym, followed by the HS team. Free admission! Let's help the Jets off to a great season.
Family passes will be available for purchase at the Blue/Gold scrimmage tonight. The cost is $20. This covers any HOME sporting events all year long. Each family member will have their own pass that they must show to enter the event. Come support your Jets!!
Due to the construction being done on campus, parking in front of the school may be limited. You are welcome to park north of the gym and enter through those doors.
Transportation info.: The south exit at the HS/MS will be closed today and tomorrow due to construction. All entering and exiting traffic will need to go through the north entrance.

Reminder: Fall Sports Pictures will be taken tomorrow, 08/27/2019. Please remember to bring your completed picture packets back tomorrow. We will do all group photos first. Following that, will be individual pictures.
Transportation info: The north entrance at the HS/MS will be closed off for construction until at least Wednesday of this week. All entering and exiting traffic will come through the South exit. Please drive slowly and with extra caution.
ATTENTION!! FCCLA students are offering Take Home Meals! You may place your order through any of the FCCLA students, or by emailing Ms. Caylor as seen on the flyer. FCCLA is planning on offering these meals every other month. Continue checking online for more details.
