AMMS fall sports practices will begin on August 17. Times will be announced very soon. You must have a physical on file to participate. If you do not have a physical, you are strongly encouraged to attend practice to watch and learn until you receive your physical.
AMHS FB & VB will begin practice on August 16. VB will practice 4:30-6:30 PM. FB will practice 3:30-5:30 PM. Each participant must have a physical on file in order to participate. If you do not have a physical, you are strongly encouraged to attend practice to watch and learn

Interim superintendent Mike Kastle discussed plans for the upcoming school year at a meeting held this evening with several students, parents, community members and staff in attendance.

The High Prairie United Methodist Church is providing backpacks for all students again this year. They can be picked up at the time of enrollment. They would also like to provide a back to school outfit and P.E. shoes for any student that has previously qualified for free/reduced meals. Contact Diane Audiss @ (620) 305-9210 by August 9 to sign up and give sizes. You will be given a form at enrollment that must be taken with you to High Prairie in order to pick up your items.
Enrollment packets were mailed out today. Please note that these were prepared prior to the fire at the elementary building. Enrollment will be held at the high school on August 4th from 8:00-6:00 and on August 5th from 8:00-4:00. The USD 387 Foundation is purchasing school supplies for all students grades Pre-K-12, so there have not been school supply lists distributed. There will be a $20 technology fee per student that can be paid at the time of enrollment.

As the 2021-2022 school year approaches, USD #387 would like to share with you the arrangements that have been made for the elementary students. All Pre-K-5th grade students will attend school at Altoona-Midway Middle/High school. Elementary students will be in the East/West hallway, while the middle/high school students will mainly be in the North/South hallway. We are working on finalizing transportation plans, and enrollment packets will be mailed out this week. Thank you all for being patient and understanding while plans were being finalized.

We are looking to identify the Altoona High School Boys Basketball Team that was District Champion in 1928. If you can offer any information it would certainly be appreciated.
